Technical Requirements harmonized
Initiated by a request by industry, the EU RO MR Group has harmonized EMC testing requirements in relevant EU RO MR Technical Requirements.
The aligned text for EMC testing now reads ‘Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) to be tested in accordance with UR E10 (test item according to IEC 60533, and test parameters and performance criteria according to UR E10); or in accordance with IEC 60947-x (x to be precised for each TR) product standards (test parameters and performance criteria according to UR E10), plus additional test required by UR E10 (test item according to IEC 60533)’
The following 7 TRs have been aligned accordingly and will enter into force 1 October 2021.

Control and protective switching devices
LV soft starters
Pilot devices
AC semiconductor controllers
Position switches
